Golf Side Game Calculator

Score, side games & gallery guessing with friends. Golf Side Game Calculator is a scorekeeping and settlement tool for friendly golf games.   It does not accept, hold, or transfer money.

A shared digital scorecard for groups who play for something. Create a room, share the six-digit code, and everyone sees the same live card while the app settles Skins, Hussein, Ding-Dong-Daeng, Gangster and team matches automatically — hole by hole, with the money already worked out.

How it works

  1. Pick your course — par, stroke index and yardage load for every hole.
  2. Add up to 8 players with handicaps, and choose which games to run.
  3. Enter scores as you play; settlement updates live for everyone in the room.
  4. Share the gallery code so spectators can watch and bet from a shared pool.

Games it settles

Gross and net stroke play, match play and Nassau, Skins with carry-overs, Hussein bomb holes, Ding-Dong-Daeng, Gangster, and team matches including Las Vegas re-pairing every hole. Handicaps are applied per hole using the course stroke index, so net results are correct without anyone doing arithmetic on the tee box. Custom events — birdies, closest to the pin, longest drive — can be added to any hole and flow straight into the final settlement receipt.

The games, one by one

Skins gives every hole a stake; ties carry the stake forward, so a quiet front nine can turn into one very expensive par-3. The app tracks carry-overs and validation automatically.

Nassau is three matches in one — front nine, back nine and overall — with presses when someone wants to double down mid-round. Stroke and match play cover the classic head-to-head formats, gross or net.

Team Match splits the room into two sides and settles every hole; switch on Las Vegas mode and the app re-pairs the teams after each hole based on the scores, so nobody is stuck with a cold partner all day.

Hussein puts a bomb on one hole per player — win your bomb hole outright and the pot is yours. Gangster (조폭) and Ding-Dong-Daeng are the Korean clubhouse staples, scored exactly the way Korean groups play them, and Hammer lets any player double the stakes mid-hole by throwing the hammer.

If your group prefers points over holes, Stableford and Quota keep a bad hole from ending anyone's day, and Wolf, Bingo Bango Bongo and Nine Point keep three- and four-player groups moving. Handicaps and net scoring explains how the app applies strokes per hole using the course stroke index.

Who it's for

Weekend foursomes who are tired of settling from memory in the car park. Korean golf groups who want Hussein, Gangster and Ding-Dong-Daeng scored the way they actually play them. Tournament organizers running many groups at once — each foursome scores in its own room while everyone follows one combined leaderboard. And the gallery: friends who aren't playing can watch the live card and back a player from the shared pool.

Common questions

Is it free? Yes — rooms, scoring and every side game are free. An optional account adds a saved handicap and round history.

Does it handle real money? No. It is a calculator and record-keeper only; nothing is ever charged, held or transferred by the app.

Do players need an account? No — anyone with the six-digit room code can join and enter scores.

Which courses are in it? Courses worldwide via OpenGolfData, a built-in South Korean course library, and any course you add yourself by scanning its scorecard.

Gallery Guessing

Spectators join with a separate view-only code and back a player from a shared pool. Odds move with the pool, parimutuel style, and betting closes partway through the round so late money can't chase a result. Nothing is charged or transferred by the app — it only shows what each side of an informal wager works out to.
